Features of the C3000 series

Like to all C9 CMTS units shipped over the last 15 years, the product is highly integrated, price-performance optimized with the management servers integrated into a single compact unit. The key features of the product are described below:

 

DOCSIS CMTS Functions

The CMTS is available in different Downstream (DS) models: The C3400 with 4DS provides 160Mbps; the C3800 with 8 downstreams provides 320Mbps; the C3900 with 16DS provides 640Mbps. In Euro-DOCSIS mode the C3800 provides about 400Mbps and C3900 provides 800Mbps approximately. The product has 4 upstreams (US) providing 30Mbps max per upstream channel for a total upstream bandwidth of 120Mbps.

RF Plant Monitoring

Several RF parameters like power levels and noise levels at the CMTS and the modems are measured to get a snapshot of the RF health of the network.

DOCSIS Provisioning Servers

Includes DOCSIS management servers like DHCP, TFTP & ToD.

Subscriber Management Server (SMS) provides subscriber activation and deactivation function.

No annual subscription. (License for life of product).

 

DHCP Relay

This function allows the operators to bypass the in-built management servers and use an external management and provisioning server based on standards.
